I found an old frame hidden in the closet. I think it’s time to make good use of it by transforming it into a chalk board.
What do I need for this job.
- an old frame with glass cover
- chalk paint – cascade color
- chalk paint – sheepskin color
- clear wax
- black board paint
- brushes
- fine sand paper
To start, take apart the picture frame. Clean all pieces.
Then paint frame with sheepskin chalk paint for the first coat. Wait for 2 hours dry time before applying the second coat.
For second coat, use the cascade chalk paint. Wait for another 2 hours to dry.
Next use fine sand paper sand around the edges to created an old look. Clean it with the dam cloth, wait until it dries completely.
Apply the wax to the frame. Leave it over night to dry. Rub it with a dry cloth to make it shine.
For the chalkboard, I applied the chalkboard paint to the glass. Let it dry for a couple hours, then apply the second layer of the chalkboard paint. Let it dries completely.
reassemble the frame and the glass together.
